I believe that living life purpose is the single most important thing in life. That may seem a little dreamy, but hear me out. I'm not saying you should abandon stability and common sense to blindly follow your heart. What I am saying is that if you do not have purpose, you are drifting aimlessly, merely surviving. When you bring on board your purpose everything changes. You infuse life with focus, passion and inspiration. Let me say it like this. Why would anyone climb a mountain for no reason? With no reason you are going to turn around at the first sign of struggle, but if climbing touches something deep in your soul you become exhilarated, not in spite of the challenge but because of it. Life is the same way, and we all have mountains to climb every day. Millions of people are climbing right now, often just to get out of bed and move into the day. Motivation to survive or provide for family gets you moving but that alone may not be enough to satisfy what you're really seeking. When you align with your purpose, you eat, breathe, and move for the right reasons and life becomes powerful and inspired. Challenges become food for the fire. Go beyond surviving to thriving.

No. Life purpose is about BEING who you are, authentically, in all aspects of life. This means relationships, career, health and all of life. Depending on your life purpose, some of these will stand out as more important than others.

The way I see it is that everyone is already living their life purpose. We cannot escape our destiny. The question is are you experiencing the suck, or the joy of it? Are you empowered to create your vision of life, or are you feeling stuck? Experiencing the challenges is a critical aspect of living life purpose. When we engage with the challenges we transform them into wisdom and love and thats when we experience the upward spiral of life.

There is an African saying that says: "The bigger the challenge, the bigger the purpose." It reflects the duality of life and our inherent nature of what it is to be human. In order to accomplish big things there is a proportionate challenge. When we follow our passion despite the challenges we realize our power, and our purpose in life.

We grew up in a culture that is disconnected from a harmonious relationship with the Earth and life. I think living life purpose has always been challenging, but modern culture is particularly lost, disconnected from nature and living busy, stressful lives with little time to connect with our deeper desires and needs. There almost no guidance during youth to steer in the right way. Ironically, when we begin to break out of these cultural patterns those around us often criticize, but when we really step into who we are they wonder what took so long. It requires faith, but thats what makes the journey so powerful.

Traditional cultures held the space for the youth to naturally be guided into their gifts and purpose. In modern day we have become disconnected from purpose and unfortunately there are very few pathways that give any real help. The old saying 'follow your passion' is good, but doesn't narrow down the filed of possibilities. Methods such as Myers-Briggs help in determining vocation based on skills and aptitudes, but they do not address the deeper needs of fulfillment and meaning necessary to feeling you are living life purpose. Methods of reflecting on important life events etc are helpful also, but these pathways are vague and unfocused. Working with a skilled hand analyst is the most direct, comprehensive method available for discovering life purpose.
