Meet Michael
I am a shamanic healer and guide based in Denver, CO. I utilize traditional and contemporary methods to assist people in navigating life challenges.
My Calling into the Shamanic Path
In 2010 I was in critical condition and hospitalized in ICU with a severe bout of Chron's disease. I had lived homeless for a time and life was plagued with what seemed like unsolvable problems. I saw no reason to live but had surrendered to the will of spirit. Just as I was leaving this world I had a vision calling me back, into my purpose in life. I was shown the path to follow for three years at which point I would begin meeting the shamans that would teach me.
The most advanced science couldn't keep me alive but the calling vision flooded my body with life, giving the energy to walk out of the hospital on my own feet just a few days later. I was told on multiple occasions that I would die if I did not follow their advice, but as I put my faith in the guidance from spirit the healing began. I didn't see it at the time but it was my first real initiation into becoming a healer. I have been free from pharmaceuticals for many years and as I continue the journey into the indigenous ways my life has transformed in many ways.
We are all Indigenous to this Earth, but...
No matter our heritage, some form of colonization and/or domination has deeply impacted our relationship with the Earth and life. This kind of cultural trauma runs deep, leaving the vast majority of people in modern life aimlessly working, surviving, but with little meaning, purpose or fulfillment - and not even knowing why. The shamanic view sees the unhealed cultural trauma as being at the heart of our modern day issues and confusion. This is at the heart of my work, both personally and professionally - to help the people remember their true relationship with the Earth, Self and Life.
My Approach
I have dedicated my life to healing and learning everything I can to best help others. This had led me to understanding the roots of suffering and human psychology through the indigenous shamanic traditions. It's not modern psychology but holistic and mature, rooted in thousands of years of deep observation. It's about restoring right relationship with who we are, the Earth and the deeper purpose and meaning in life.
My approach is direct and compassionate with lightness and humor to empower the individual to be self sufficient, not a slave to therapy or health care – no fluff and no BS.
