About the event

Join us for a special opportunity to learn from world renown healer, teacher and activist Itzhak Beery. Itzhak is a Taita Yachak (elder shaman) initiated in traditions in Ecuador and Brazil. Itzhak works from a space of warmth and joy that is contagious. Itzhak carries a depth of wisdom from his many years spent in the highlands and jungles of Ecuador and Brazil. The workshop will be held in the beautiful space of the Gold Hill Kiva, located about 30 minutes west of Boulder in Gold Hill.

The Icaros: Discover Your Sacred Soul Song

There is a song inside you—unique, ancient, and alive.

In this transformational workshop, we’ll explore the healing power of the icaro—sacred shamanic medicine songs that carry the frequency of spirit. Guided by the traditions of the Kichwa people of Ecuador, we will work with sound as a portal for personal healing and soul remembrance.

Through breathwork, vocal activation, ceremonial song, and plant spirit connection, you’ll be guided to discover and embody your own icaro—the song that belongs only to you.

In this sacred space, you will:

  • Experience the healing resonance of traditional icaros

  • Activate your voice as a channel for spirit

  • Enter ceremony with plant and spirit allies

  • Receive your soul’s song

  • Learn how to use sound for transformation—within yourself and in service to others

This day is a rare and beautiful opportunity to awaken your true voice and reconnect with your soul’s vibration. Come ready to sing, to feel, to listen—and to remember who you are.

Come with an open heart and a curious spirit. Leave refreshed, connected, and inspired by the whispers of the night.

WHAT TO BRING

We will be outdoors and indoors (in a kiva).  Bring a water bottle, blanket or poncho and camp chair or mat for sitting on the ground.  Bring a yummy dish to share each day at the potluck lunch.
