It's important to get to know each other a bit first before committing to a trip like this. It's important you are aware of the nature of the trip. This is not a luxury resort destination. You will be taken good care of but there will be exposure to the elements, hiking in rough, possibly muddy terrain, high elevation and potentially windy cold weather (40-50° F). In the jungle it will be hot, humid and there will be insects. It's incredibly beautiful. There will be amazing fresh food (except when fasting) and there will be comfortable, adequate shelter including bug nets. It's not always comfortable. You may not get the sleep you want, schedules may change due to weather, etc., you may second guess why you decided to come. The challenges are part of the beauty and there is healing in stepping out of our comfort zones.
It is best we all come with a spirit of contributing our strengths to create a circle of support, not just needing support from the group or Seiko'pai family. The safety of you and everyone involved is top priority. We need to know where participants are at with any mental or other health issues, prescription medications, etc. so we can safely navigate and minimize risks.
