About the event

Join us for a special opportunity to learn from world renown healer, teacher and activist Itzhak Beery. Itzhak is a Taita Yachak (elder shaman) inititiated in traditions in Ecuador and Brazil. Itzhak works from a space of warmth and joy that is contagious. Itzhak carries a depth of wisdom from his many years spent in the highlands and jungles of Ecuador and Brazil. The workshop will be held in the beautiful space of the Sacred Sanctuary, located about 15 minutes west of Boulder in Fourmile Canyon. We will be in a yurt and outside, enjoying the serene nature including a creek for refreshing and dipping our feet.

Shamanic Bodywork and Diagnostic Workshop

Healing and Diagnostic Techniques of the Andes and Amazon

Join us for a hands-on day of healing, learning, and energetic connection.

In this immersive workshop, Itzhak Beery shares traditional Indigenous diagnostic and bodywork practices passed down by his teachers. Whether you're a healer, seeker, or simply curious, this is a chance to experience and learn techniques that bring balance, insight, and restoration.

You’ll explore (as time permits):

  • Intuitive Gazing — Learn to “see” beyond the physical and read the body’s messages

  • Energy Sensing — Tune into the subtle field and find imbalances

  • Aztec Bodywork — A dynamic method to realign energy and awaken vitality

  • Takuma Needling — A powerful Amazonian practice for pain relief and nervous system support

These teachings are rooted in respect, presence, and love. Come ready to touch and be touched—by wisdom, by tradition, and by the healing energy that flows through all of us.

WHAT TO BRING

We will be outdoors and indoors (in a yurt).  Bring a water bottle, blanket or poncho and camp chair or mat for sitting on the ground.  Bring a yummy dish to share each day at the potluck lunch.

LODGING

There is no lodging or camping on location. If you are traveling from out of town you can coordinate a hotel or air bnb in Boulder (15 minute drive). The A-Lodge is just down the road from the venue and offers a convenient affordable option especially for those staying the entire weekend. https://a-lodge.com/

GETTING THERE:

Parking is limited at the site, and we will be arranging carpool. We will reach out to coordinate carpooling near the event.
